10 days of birthdays - day 7 and a meme

This oddball picture of me felt like the perfect segway into a meme that I saw on at bugandpop. I tagged myself in on it!

The rules seemed simple enough:
1) Link to the person who tagged you
2) Mention the rules
3) Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular details about yourself
4) Tag six other bloggers by linking to them
5) Go to each person’s blog and leave a comment that lets them know

So here we go:

Quirk 1 - I had a boy's haircut and wore a skinny tie on my 9th birthday. This all sounds a little unusual, but is perfectly normal when contrasted with the pink elephant cake that I had that year (1982)

Quirk 2 - My worst moments in life happen on stopped escalators. I can't walk up or down them without closing my eyes. I get dizzy and nauseous. I sometimes fall over. It's ok, this usually only happens when the mall is full of people and 2,312 of my closest friends are there to have a good laugh.

Quirk 3 - This one always gets a strange look when I'm telling someone in person. I used to play competitive pinball. I've travelled the US, as well as to Canada, Germany and Holland to compete.

Quirk 4 - I never walk into a room. I bounce. I've apparently done this my entire life. After emailing my second grade teacher about my blog, she informed me that I BOUNCED into the room the first time I saw her. This still hasn't changed.

Quirk 5 - My top front 6 are all fake. After 17 years of braces and retainers (no kidding) they realized my jawbone was too small to replace the incisors I never grew. Then they cut away the four teeth surrounding them.

and Quirk 6 - I don't open windows. Ever.

I'm never good at following rules, so I'm tagging all of the Blogtoberfest gals who can't think of anything else to post. Hopefully one of our roving reporters will let them know!

  1. Yeah, I am so glad you joined in and why not with such great ammunition. I must admit the escalators freak me out a bit too.
