bound at last

In my ongoing weekend of handsewing, I'm happy to say she's bound at last. She's not going to be a prize winner, but she'll keep someone very warm. Someone brave enough to snuggle up in white.

She's got a stack of fabric that I forgot to blog about when I came home from Melbourne including Pat Yamin's great pink, red and white Come Quilt With Me flowers, Tula Pink's Flutterby Red Ladybugs, Max New's sherbet and mint monostripe from Spring Carnival and some red pinstripes from American Jane. I randomly made up the pattern, so she doesn't have a name. I'm pretty happy with the colour combinations. I just need to work on my quilting skills!

  3. I went with machine quilting. I'm still a bit terrified of committing to doing it by hand. My stitches won't get straight or even or I'll end up with a pile of knots! I do need to learn though for my grandma's garden quilt. One day soon!
