I wanted to show you something that I've been sewing, but it totally flopped. Hospital gown was the words Craig chose to describe my pathetic attempt at a Halloween costume sans pattern. So instead, you'll have to settle for this Jack O'Lantern that I carved in 2003 with the help of some Aussie's keen to learn the pumpkin secrets of the northern hemisphere. We used a template that we found online for the design and then decided where to do full carves and where to skin scrape. We toasted the seeds. It was all good.
Amy's pumpkin tip - Push pins! Use push pins to transfer the outline of your design from your printout to your pumpkin. After you have the full outline, then you carve and scrape.
Happy Halloween! More pumpkins later this week.
Wow! That's fabulous. I've only ever done pumpkin carving once and it was so much fun.
