mirror mirror

So I'm walking down the street yesterday and this guy says to me, "Do you want a free mirror?" No kidding, just like that.

Ok, I may have seen the mirror sitting out and primped a little in front of it. Seriously, why was this 4 1/2 foot by 3 foot vintage mirror sitting out against a tree removalist truck anyway? It needed someone to pose in front of it and love it.

Given that we had no full length mirror and my usual MO was to teeter precariously on the bathtub ledge in stilettos hoping to catch a glimpse of both my shoes and my dress in the reflection of the medicine cabinet, I really needed this mirror. So I carried it home and up the stairs. A few hours later when I'd caught my breath and my muscles recovered, I realized. Man! I got a great deal!

Speaking of good deals, don't forget the birthday sale at badskirt. 15% off listed price!

  1. That mirror is amazing! I remember one of the houses I rented years ago had no decent mirror so my girlfriend and I were always climbing up on the edge of the bath to get a full length lookie see...it's amazing we never fell off!

  4. Wow - that is fantastic. I do the same, I climb onto the edge of the bed to see the dress/shoe combo. I can't see my head in it though..!
Got to love a mirror that comes with a story!
