anonymous comments.

hey guys. I've had to disable anonymous comments on my blog. It's not because I don't appreciate your feedback. I do! It's because I've spent the last few days deleting viagra ads. If you have any problems with commenting in the next few days, just let me know!

Amy, using a word verification stops spam like viagra ads. Might be worth trying that?

Requiring logins is a good step, though you'll still get some spam. If you implement a CAPTCHA code (where you have to type in letters and/or numbers,) that will pretty much eliminate them. Most of the anonymous spammers are automated bots that run around and look for easy places to leave their trash. Blogspot should have a way to implement this feature fairly easily.
