They call it the race that stops a nation. ...and it does unless you are a quilter! Then we get inspired and sew. Don your fancy frocks and feathered hats. It's almost post time. My tips for the 2012 Melbourne Cup are Americain, Lights of Heaven and Winchester for the long odds.
That's wonderful Amy!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh fantastic, from a Victorian who started going to the cup from about 10 years of age this is wonderful....
ReplyDeleteWell, not quite a nation because it won't stop me! I am grateful that Victorians love it so much though because it means a public holiday now that we live in Melbourne!
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks Amy! I've spent my cup day holiday using your tips to make my own ikea-hacked sewing table. It is far from perfect, but I still think it's awesome! Plus I got to buy my 3rd ever power tool (a jigsaw) which is lots of fun. Thanks for the hints in your melltorp table post!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic - it's amazing how something so simple could turn out to be such a stunning quilt - well done
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
ReplyDeleteAwesome line-up of blocks, Amy! I see you needed two of your colorful boards to display them. Yum!
