It's lap quilt size and I used the first four rows of Jan Eaton's Square Target pattern in 200 Crochet Blocks. If you own the Babette pattern, it's a similar block. I bought the yarn intending it as a gift, but Craig declared it a keeper. Who am I to argue?

As for the 200 or so unwoven ends on the back? I'll get those on a cold winter day while I'm curled up under it.
this looks gorgeous ... those pastel colours and the crochet pattern look wonderful together.
ReplyDeletewow beautyful. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Way to go! This looks amazing. Definitely a keeper. And that's a good way to look at weaving in the ends - while using it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, happy blanket. I love it.
Oh, my. That is just delicious. And I think the joining stitch fits its personality perfectly. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeletewow was my firt thought!
ReplyDeletethose colours will surely warm up any cold evening and i can't see the joining stitching in those pix so all good methinks.

ReplyDeletegorgeous crochet.......great blog
ReplyDeleteHey babes, that is FREAKING awesome!
ReplyDeleteReally dumb non-crocheter-but-willing-to-try question... what is the wool called that you use?
As I use second hand shizzle usually I'd love to 'plan ahead' and work out the best wool/yarn/cotton stuffs for this kinda spread. I'd love to make something similar for my baby friends xoxoxo
Gorgeous. Keep those unwoven ends all unwoven out and call it shag pile.
ReplyDeleteAmy, this is such a gorgeous afghan!! Is there any chance you could edit your post to tell us what brand of yarn you used? The yarn is so vibrant! Thanks!
