When you're out of town and your husband tells you that he's bought you a surprise and left it on the couch, does your heart start racing!? Does your mind churn a little bit and you find yourself thinking about puppies and brooches, sparkly things, cars, and sometimes simply cupcakes?! It feels good doesn't it? You think to yourself, Oh! He got ME a surprise! You think, That's my boy. There's the romance!
Good feeling isn't it?

Yes, nothing says romance like a digital postage scale. Particularly one that's bought to replace the one broken when someone decided to weight his mountain bike on it. I feigned excitement when I noticed it told the ambient room temperature. This week,it's been stuck on cold.
It was a surprise indeed.
OMG this has me in tears, great stuff!!! Mu hubby would do the same thing.
ReplyDeletePS I want to buy one of your turtles is that possible?
Bless him for trying!
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of surprise, you walk into the room and are surprised about. "Oh thank you dear!" Not, the "I got you a present" pre-announcement kind of surprise. I don't text my boyfriend to say, "I got you a surprise!" when I've bought a set of plastic drawers for the kitchen.
ReplyDeletea ha ha ha ha. Could be worse - I got knee pads for my anniversary one year - umm yeah that was romantic although a postal scale ranks right up there!
ReplyDeletethats sweet... its like replacing the sewing scissors after they have destroyed them by cutting paper!! Last time I had a "surprise" gift on the couch it was my guitar :)
ReplyDeleteYour husband is about as romantic as mine. But it's funny how you manage to still love them like crazy nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the true surprises in the mail today. You're very generous and they certainly put a smile on my face. A real smile. Not faked.
Hmm now to think of an equally lovely SURPRISE for him.
ReplyDeletethat's awesome, lol! hey, i got you a surprise, I replaced the thing I broke, lol! perfect!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - hilarious! Ambient room temperature?! On a postage scale?
ReplyDeleteadd me to the "I'm laughing but only because I can relate far too well!" group! :)
ReplyDeleteGod love him. Trust a man to get the one with all hte bell and whistles like room temperature.
ReplyDeleteOMG. So true Miss Rosey. My boyfriend asked me if I wanted an new alarm clock because there was one on sale that tells the temperature...he already has two thermometer-thingies!!
ReplyDeletehilarious, indeed :-)
ReplyDeleteit´s the thought that counts, isn´t it?? for a man this probably is like jewelry i guess..
