I am about to plonk myself on the lounge with Possum and sew down some binding. It is a little like the calm after the storm that is the quilting process around here.
I find it so quiet and therapeutic... Love hand-stitching the binding and the satisfaction it gives me , which is odd because I'm not a huge hand-sewing fan.
I actually enjoy hand sewing the binding to the back of a quilt. I particularly enjoy it, when the quilt has really turned out well. I like having the extra time with something I love. Having said that, the thing I dread most is burying the threads. Ugh!

ReplyDeletetruer words have never been spoken. i hate the process but love the result.
ReplyDeleteI must be mad, but I actually love handsewing the binding down. I actually get a bid sad when I am nearly finished as it means the quilt is finished.
ReplyDeleteNice feeling when it is finished, lol!

ReplyDeleteInspiring photo! Love your binding fabric choice. What is the back fabric? Looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the process of stitching down binding. Especially if there's something good to watch on television.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I cannot stand machine stitched bindings. It drives me nuts being able to see the stitching on the front.
