Today I wanted a sense of accomplishment, so I turned to something easy. I made a patchwork top for a baby playmat using the fabrics I pulled out last week. Then I rushed outside minutes before a lightning storm to take a photo.
You don't get much easier than this.
- Forty-eight 5" squares
- Four 9 1/2" squares
- Six solid jelly roll strips
This is 42"x42" but could easily be scaled up for a bed-size quilt. I bought a Moda Bella white jelly roll ages ago and keep it handy for quick and easy sashing. It's been quite handy for so many projects.

Great idea for solid jelly rolls!
