A tale of a quilt bee

Teeny Tiny Albers Blocks
I am currently involved in a few virtual quilting bees and blocks have started trickling in for my projects. To keep the girls inspired, I took photos of how they are shaping up.

The pint-sized quilting bee makes teeny tiny blocks for each other, usually between 2-4". I asked the girls to make me asymmetric square in squares blocks inspired by Josef Albers and this image in particular. I asked for solids or solids/prints mixed. These are only 2" finished blocks! They're doing an ace job aren't they!

Nine blocks, one very happy girl.

  1. Both sets of blocks are gorgeous! When I first saw the mailbox block on Pink Penguin, I also fell in love with it...

  2. Hmm.. funny about them being lost in the post. Maybe they are attractive to posties? It is such a clever block though.
