I feel like I haven't posted much craft lately, but it is only because we've been roaring through life at breakneck speed here lately. This weekend, we popped back over to Featherdale Animal Park to some more of Australia's cutest, wackiest and friendliest animals. Before that it was a beer festival and a craft show. I've spent the last five days or so making friends with my quick unpick. I have two quilts that I really loved before I quilted them. I'm taking the quilting out and redoing it. It's a lot of work, of course, but I need to be happy with them. Have you ever ventured into such nonsense?
Geez, I haven't even quilted that much, but I've taken out tons of what I've done! My frequently-repeated sequence is: imagine how fine something would look hand-quilted, decide against it 'cuz I'm too lazy, machine quilt it, then rip it out and hand quilt it anyway. Ugh. You'd think I'd learn.
ReplyDeleteI was happy to see "Cheeky" as a title. Is that the same Cheeky as before? Looks a bit different color, but maybe? With a joey?
We'll read whatever you write. Doesn't have to be about crafting. You're our favorite cheeky Aussie!
I've not ripped out a completed quilt job before, but I have ripped out completed binding before. Totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteI've ventured into Featherdale, but never unquilted a quilt :oD
