I'm not well practiced in the self-portrait category. We don't really have room in our house to make it work, so I quickly dashed off to the pool to try to catch a glimpse of my new summer top. It's a shared pool in the middle of the complex. Every apartment has a window that overlooks it. Some have balconies. I had to make these snappy. Get in quick, strike some poses and then get out.
I know David Jones is going to call me soon for a catwalk show. I've got a fascinating ability to capture some truly awkward poses. Part rock concert, part cheerleader. I can appeal to anyone. I've even channeled my inner five year old ballerina.
The photos may not be a success, but the top was. This little number is a simple pillowcase style shirt made with a season Liberty that I picked up at Calico and Ivy in Perth. The biggest win of the day is that I realized the tops will fit in 60cm of non-directional Liberty instead of 75cm. That's five shirts for the price of four. Score!

Amy - I'm a bit of a lurker but this post has made me smile. The poses are fabulous as is the lovely location, just a pity we can't see much of the top. Doesn't matter one bit.
ReplyDeleteClassic! These are so great Amy. Love your rocker-cheerleader pose. Think I might be employing this top design for a stash of gorg Liberty fabric that my bff sent to me from London for my birthday. I've been scratching my head over what to make!
