We aren't matchy matchy in our house, so this cushion looks a bit different. I used a bunch of prints that I'm calling My Cousin Chris' Bedroom 1978 which took roots with the Dear Stella Town&Country that I just bought. One of my strategies right now is to use new fabric straight away.
I wouldn't have chose that black border, but someone in our house insisted on it. "It will make the colors pop," he said. I know where we heard that before. I wanted to hoard the little I had left for a quilt bee, so I explained that it was special fabric. He said, "but... but it's on your pillow..." It's hard to argue with the finance department.
I'll give it the same haphazard quilting treatment that my pillow got and then he'll be good to roll.
Hi dear,
ReplyDeleteI just love to see and read your blog...can't say much but it is so inspiring and gives me the courage to give more depth in my passion too. All the best..Nonie
Both pillows are just great! I'm not one for matchy-matchy either. I must say though, you have a talent for putting together so many colors and prints. If I tried to mix what you do, it'd look like fabric vomit. (hope that didn't gross you out lol)
