I have a local friend who always asks me why I never put finished projects on my blog. I promise, I am finishing them up! Craig's cushion was well-received and has already had hours of use.
And my tote bag is ready to frolic around town. I'll confess finishing that tote bag was an exercise in controlling my temper. I had a different lining planned but chose the wrong interfacing. Experts came to my rescue on Twitter and recommended a better choice, but I couldn't find it nearby. I skipped it all together leaving me with a floppy beach bag. The lining isn't quite straight either, but it's functional.
It was the first time I used those sorts of handles and I don't think I'll use them again. Next time, I'll just make my own or buy ones that attach differently. They look perfect for the bag, but attaching them isn't one of my fortes.
But I'm happy! Two big finishes yesterday! If you'd like to see more finishes and projects, you might want to start following me on Threadbias. I discovered their website when they sponsored #talknt on Twitter. It's sort of like Ravelry for fabric junkies. It's something we've needed for a while. If you do join in, make sure to leave me a comment so that I can follow you back!
