Small things often feel like big accomplishments. I'm still working on this quilt in the 163 patchwork book. I've finished the first of the applique circles. It spins backwards. I won't tell, if you don't?
I've left a lot of extra room around the seam allowance of the edge, but it will probably just live on the design wall for a while. I do have a few oversized paper holders, the kind scrapbooking people use, which is great for storing blocks.
It's really wonderful ~ love the colors you've chosen. I just got this book and waiting for the new year to start ~ it's really a lovely book. Thanks for the inspiration!
Mum's the word about spinning backwards. Gosh, you keep costing me money! First I bought a new quilting ruler and cutting mat after realizing that my ruler was bowed and half the lines on the mat were erased by cutting, and now I've got to get that book! Your block looks great, as always!
What is next with the circle? Are you going to applique it right away? If not how will you store it so that you don't distort the edges?
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling paranoid & it isn't my block!
