Today, I spoiled myself with a new apron. I've been making heaps of
aprons for others, but hadn't made one for myself since I got my
Emmeline pattern in
April. In truth, the blue side has been hanging on my sewing room door
since July. I was supposed to give it away, but I kept hanging on to it for me. The blue fabric with white birds is some unknown quilting fabric from Spotlight. It's a shame I don't know the name because I loved it. The red side is
Calaveras from Alexander Henry. I went for a mix and match style apron with a little applique.
And then because no one was home, I hammed it up for the camera - unbrushed hair and all!

Shy is not a word used to describe me often. The truth is that the apron is not quite done. The binding is only pinned at this stage and the topstitching isn't finished, but I wanted to post photos while it was daylight!
And a very belated congrats to
Meg of Sew Liberated Patterns who is expecting a little bundle of joy!
Amy looks great.
