they can't all be winners

MIKA sew-along, day 6. Remember that zipper decision? I was sure it would come back to haunt me. Then I found these directions which are written in german and I can't read, but in my head they say "Are you an idiot? You've chosen to make the smallest size. No one who wears the smallest size could possibly use a zipper. Make a fake zipper, after all you are making this for that fake child of yours." schritt

Well they can't all be winners and I almost didn't want to post any photos because they are so awful, but in the spirit of the sew-along here they are my MIKA pants in progress. They still need an elastic waistband.


Initially, I took to calling these clown pants. With tonight being the So You Think You Can Dance finals, I've realized these are perfect for the child destined to lock, pop and breakdance his way to stardom. [Assuming he's small and wears thin diapers]. I'm ready for day 7 and ready to start over on a fresh pair. These pants look like they were made for the Fresh Prince.
