shout out wednesday

This one's too cute to sell, don't you think? I should keep her myself? I need her... umm... yeah.

I've got a few shoutout and thanks that I want to give today!

First to Sunny of The Red Nine. I first visited Sunny's blog because I heard she made an awesome chair for $5. I did find a great chair, but also a terrific blog about family and craft and so much more. Your gorgeous bookmark has arrived! Thank you very much.

And speaking of giveaways, thanks to all of the ladies who have commented so far on my fabric giveaway. My hands and my softies thank you. We've about ran the course of tips for my three topics with quite a few days to go. If there's anything you'd like a tip on let me know and I'll add it in for late responders!

Speaking of giveaways, did you know there's a whole blog dedicated to giveaway links? I had no idea until I found them linked to me. Perhaps it's time to stop sewing and instead try to become a professional blog contest winner.

Uhh... yeah. I need her right? just look at her eyes and that gorgeous Kokka frog fabric. Dogs and frogs, surely she's meant for me.

Back to the shoutouts. I've got a really big one for Kristy of Ruby Lou. Last Friday she suggested I take a look at Geni as a way of managing my family history and photos in a comment. Unbeknownst to me, my lurking Aunt Joyce picked up on the comment. By Tuesday I had a family tree listing out 121 blood relatives going all the way up to my 8th great grandfather. I've seen older photos of my grandparents that I would have never laid eyes on. Even better, I've seen photos of the new generations in our family that are 7000 miles away. Geni is a pretty awesome site, thanks heaps, Kristy!

  2. Yeah, I think she should stay at home with you. BTW, I was poking around your Etsy store and simply adore all of the dogs. Maybe when the economy bounces back a bit, I can get one to live with Rosy and me!
