it's a birthday party
Meet my first Oliver+S Birthday Party Dress. As this was my first go, I went with the smallest size in the smaller pattern. This is version A which has the tabs and faux button closure. In truth, I'm partial to version B with long ties and ribbons found in my flickr inspiration gallery.
This one is a bit tricky to photograph sans child. The smaller size has been specifically sculpted to fit over those pudgy barrel chests. From my untrained eye, it looks like this eases out in the larger sizes to fit perfectly as they transform from toddler to little girl. This early Oliver+S pattern and comes in sizes 6m-3T and 4-8.
Pattern: Oliver+S Birthday Party Dress
Fabric: Early Bird and American Jane remnants
Size: 6-12months
Confession: It's only blog-ready. The dress closes in the back with buttons or snaps. Mine is temporarily fixed with pins.
This is so nice, I wish I had a little one to make it for lol.
