welcome junie.

We've adopted our little girl. This is Junie, a custom Simply Mango (SMa) Blythe coming to us from Susan aka flicker4sue. The photos come courtesy of Sue's flickr stream while we wait for her to arrive.

She'll be travelling to us from America and is starting on her journey tomorrow. She'll have a bit of travelling fun, then we'll expect to see her in a couple of weeks. She's a bit footloose and carefree, so we'll need to have an outfit ready for her arrival. Lucky for us, I have that exact fabric sitting on my shelf waiting for a purpose.

Sue has done some other wonderful custom dolls, so do take a look! She also chose her name, but I really like it as it reminds me of both Tokyo and my grandma who was named June.

All photos shown are from Junie's flickr set with photography credits to Susan. Pop on over and see more including her other eye colours!

  5. I am very happy for you that you found what you were looking for. I have to admit though that I'm not getting it. Can someone please explain these dolls to me? Are they a fad that I don't know about? Do people sew outfits for them? What's the deal? Thanks. :)

  6. I swear my little next door neighbor looks just like the picture on the lower right. Really cute and spunky. I just got my own Blythe doll. Will you be selling patterns? I've been trying to find them online without much luck (but not a whole lot of looking either).

You've inspired me to get one. An ADG on the cheap :)

Small dresses are great opportunities for immediate rewards!

  9. Hi Amy,
She's just stunning - I liked her the best from all the ones I looked at on the link. Just be careful she doesn't hide amongst those new Nally canisters - you might lose her, lol (sorry, I couldn't resist).

  13. Ooh! Another Blythe fan! I've had mine for years and year, and have about 12. The are a little neglected at the moment as I've been so busy, but I'm hoping to fix that soon! Your little Junie looks like a very cute bundle of mischief!
