Trying to avoid staining your lovely little doll? I know the people on the forums recommend full body suits...or just not letting your girls sit in dye-heavy clothing for more than a day or two.
Vinegar isn't likely to help - dyes that set with vinegar are usually used on natural fibers, which those probably aren't. My mom swears by washing materials you're concerned about with some of those dye-catching sheets, though I haven't tried it yet. The other alternative is to keep your doll in stockings at all times to avoid staining. Though I think I read somewhere that you can remove some stains from her if needed.
Hey Amy, if you were smart enough to find Paula's site then you have the answer that I would give you. :)
ReplyDeleteKraft Kolour doesn't sell Retayne, but maybe their KolourFix FF is similar.

ReplyDeleteIf the fabric is cotton, you could try using some soda ash.
ReplyDeleteI always swear by washing with Synthropol to help remove excess dyes, too. http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/chemicals/synthrapol.php
