more mini quilting.

I've been at it again.
More ridiculously small scale patchwork.

Today, inspired by yarntini's perfectly pieced practice block for the 3x6 bee, I decide to revisit the circle of geese pattern. My first attempt at the pattern was for a quilting bee. While it wasn't an epic fail, it was enough to scare me off paper piecing for a while. Aside from piecing two quadrants in the wrong direction, I failed to get the center to properly line up. Luckily, today went a little better.

A stormy holiday seemed like a good time to cast off my fear, so I again downloaded Piece by Number's Geese template. I then scaled it down to 2" per side and added back 1/4" seam allowance all the way around. Then I started sewing. And to my surprise...

...it worked!

The only question now is what miniature pattern do I tackle next?

  8. Love it! What a brave one you are to tackle this block in such a teeny little size. I've made one, and while I loved the finished result, man was it a lot of work! Yours is beautiful.

What is that solid, by the way? It is very pretty.
