Something bright on a dreary day. It's been such an amazing weekend of meeting new friends, putting faces to longtime online friends and being surrounded by Blythe and crafty creativity. Between the Australian Blythe convention and dinner with the Sew It Together girls, there's 200+ photos of weekend joy to cull through, but I decided to funnel that energy into sewing Andi's blocks for the Beehive.
Andi sent out Kona solids in Echino inspired colours for us to create 20.5" freeform log-cabin blocks. Monster blocks!! I've never made any so big before. She sent us each an assortment of 8 Konas plus black and white. Then sent us off to her Inspiration Gallery.
Working in all solids and vibrant colours was heaps of fun. I knew as soon as the fabric arrived that Andi's quilt would be amazing. Thanks Andi for letting me help you out.
