awkward comfort.

A visit from a friend spurred me to pull out an slow burn project and make a bit more progress.

I stepped back and found something pleasing. Years from now, a quilt historian might deem it a mistake. Yet, I find solace in the asymmetric piecing. The doorways to a kitchen are never quite aligned.

So it's time to forge onward. I'll change the color, or I'll change the block style. Building it up and letting my instincts lead the way.

Much like its colours and truncated text, it oozes a strange, captivating, awkward comfort.
