Greetings from Adelaide

Craig and I believe that it is best to keep life interesting and take unexpected opportunities. That's how in the span of about a week,  I packed my bags and moved to Adelaide for a short term contract.
Before I started in the craft industry, I worked in visual effects for film and games. It had been almost five years since my last project though,  so I thought I had left those industries behind.  When I received a call about a fortnight ago asking about my availability, Craig and I quickly talked it over.
Things happened rapidly. I accepted the work,  we drove the caravan to Adelaide and I am living in the Winnebago while helping a visual effects company with their current project.
I have brought the sewing machine and the ScanNCut along with half my fabric. Craig questioned my need for so much when I will undoubtedly be doing long hours at work. He is probably right, but I couldn't imagine moving without a host of sewing to keep me busy.
As a heads up,  blog content may lag for a little bit while I am working. To make up for it,  I will have something on the big screen next year that I worked on.
Don't drop me from your feed though!  I will be back soon.

  3. Sounds like a great opportunity! I'm sure you'll make time for some sewing as some R&R. We just moved back to NZ Last year after 6 years in Adelaide. Enjoy exploring!

  8. Do share with us more about how your job is going! I would love to explore more opportunities, but my business in self storage units is taking off now and I have to spend every unit of time on it now. Maybe sometime in the future…
