On the rails again.
North America was calling, so I packed up my house and took the biggest risk of my life. I've left New Zealand without a job, without a home base and without a solid plan. I put faith in myself that it will work out, shipped my boxes to North America and hopped on a plane in December.
I'm in the US now, with the aim to make a new home either here in the US or in Canada. In the mean time, I'm enjoying everything this beautiful country has to offer. I started on the rails.
Last month after arriving in San Francisco, I boarded the California Zephyr and headed east to see family. Many seemed perplexed that I wanted to ride the train so far. With views like this, who wouldn't?
Moving back to North America without a solid plan is one of the scariest things I've done. I just keep telling myself 'Be brave. You got this.'
What as wonderful way to start the new year. Wherever you finally settle, it will be a great adventure. Best of luck and Happy New Year.

I hope you take the time to stop in Fargo ND. There is an amazing up to date fabric shop called Modern Textiles. It will make you glad you took the time to see a little of North Dakota and the wonderful people that operate that great place.
