drink buying

They warn you of the dangers in school. They tell you that alcohol is a drug. But never once did anyone give warning of the pitfalls of drinking and Ebay. Drink Buying as it's called. BUI, Buying Under the Influnce.

Inspired by The Boat that Rocked and free Amstels for recognizing 1960's songs at the Beach Road, I picked up these patterns this weekend.


I dare say, I'll never be making my own bikini. Yes, it's stylin' and groovy retro. What was I thinking?

No frets though. I'll add it to the growing collection of untouched commercial patterns that I intended to make for my self. I don't even know what pattern size I am, I just buy these things willy-nilly knowing full well I'll never make them. At least these have hope:

    I make it my own personal mantra to never go near eBay when under the influence.

    I know this from experience.

    Etsy is even more dangerous under the influence- because you end up buying funny, silly yet quite impractical things...

    I have some of those untouched patterns myself!!!

    Also, i seem to buy so much more when I drink. Drinking Ruby Tuesdays' Sangria always sounds like fun except its attatched to the mall and across the street from the craft store. Its really just a bad cocktail.

    I'm with you on that one. I have books I'll never read and fabric I'll never use as well... it all seemed like a good idea at the time.

    I had to chuckle when i read this. My girlfriend was drink driving her sister's Janome, trying to finish off that quilt.... and yes, she stuffed it!

    The love did not flow that day!
