The postman knocked twice today. It's a good thing too, because I was off fiddling about and barely heard him. He stood around for a second knock. In his hands was my parcel from Spoonflower. I picked up some of the Heather Ross collection they are now selling. I ordered about a meter of each print. It just made economic sense, but was probably a bit of an over-order for my needs. I'm not sure how I feel about the fabric quality yet. It's different and not as brillant as other lines by her. Did you get any? What do you think?
Edit: I should have mentioned that I already know about Spoonflower's fade-factor before I bought. I plan to use these for items less frequently washed like wallets, wall hangings and notebook covers, etc...
I love these fabrics! especially the flowers, and the mushrooms, and the gnomes - oh I like them all!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a feel of them yet but they are rather pretty.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll soften up after a wash!?!
It looks lovely. Let us know how it washes up. I've been so tempted by Spoonflower, I am sure I will order something from there at some stage.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get nay but there has been ALOT of talk on flickr about colour fade.
ReplyDeleteSo very tempted to buy some. You might want to try test washing first, I just saw this on flickr the other day http://www.flickr.com/photos/11799285@N07/4392108869/.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! I love the green print in the middle.
ReplyDeleteLove those polka dots!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the gnomes and mushies.
ReplyDeleteI thought the fade thing was only experienced with the purple fabrics, will have to read Banquo's thread again.
Enjoy your gorgeous new fabric - I'm green with envy! ;-)
Love those gnomes... might have to buy some yet. I've been so good about avoiding though...
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo jealous! Was just saying to some sewing friends the other day how I was trying to justify buying some of these.
ReplyDeleteHeather says the Lightening bugs range is next -oh dear my credit card is in danger!
