Following Katia and Belinda's footsteps, I decided to buy some Aida cloth and do a little counted cross stitch. By the time I got ready to post about it, Corrie was also in on the fun. It's something I used to do as a kid, so I'm hoping it comes back quickly. In fact, that blue hoop was my mom's. She would lend it to me as I made my tiny counted stitches in the early 80s.
Because I like tiny, I chose Aida 18 to start off with. But a few stitches in to an original design, and the postman knocked. A new edition of Extracurricular from the creative kids across the Tasman. My hoop has been tossed wayward and I'm settling in with a cuppa for a little crafty read.
I have tried my hand at the good old cross stitch a few times and after awhile I too toss it aside, but never pick it up again. Enjoy the crafty read and the cuppa. :)
ReplyDeleteOhh.... I hope my copy of ExtraCurricular is in the post box when I get home. My very first advertisment is in there for my store. Glad I checked out your blog while on my lunch break today, you have given me something to look forward to when I get home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, and keep us updated on the crossstitch progress. :-)
