You spin me round, right round. A friend gave me jelly roll strips of good folks. I want to do something nice for her in return. I'm hoping she'll like a cushion.
I discovered this pieced jelly roll dresden technique at a quilt far a long time ago. I worked from memory. It's a quick, easy and visually effective technique. After finishing, I did a quick search for a tutorial in case anyone else wants to try it. I found one from Lurline. Mine was constructed in the same way except I used 2.5" strips. I see lots of potential for variations in this pattern. I can imagine playing with colour and value could create some great effects like checkerboards or radiating rays.
Oooh I do like this and I bet your friend will too.
