Psst. Great Book Back in Stock.

Edit: It looks like the three instock copies sold, but they are still expecting some on backorder. I firmly believe the book is worth the wait. I've had it for about 8 months now and still find myself flipping through it every night. If you bought a book or want to follow along, I've started a small flickr group for us! http://www.flickr.com/groups/patchwork163/

Several of you let me know that you were looking for the Patchwork 163 book that I've been making blocks from. It bobbles in and out of stock quite often.  Amazon Japan sent me a notification that it's back in stock. They have 3 copies!  It has some really great blocks in it.

Rather than giving block dimensions, the blocks are drafted in a way that lets you geometrically adjust them to any size that you need. It's a really ace book. Really ace.  You'll need the slightest drafting skills to make the blocks, but I'm sure all of you could do it. It's mostly a matter of adding seam allowances to things.

A slow road.

There's also stacks of great quilts in it. I've been itching to find someone else with the book so we could encourage each other and make blocks together. Maybe even tackle this gem which I believe is by Emiko Furusawa.

Can you spot each of the blocks above in this quilt? I made some practice ones.  Is anyone game?  There's just three more copies in stock. If you miss out, let me know and I'll give you heads up when I see see more arrive at Amazon Japan.

    1. Hooray! I'm sure you'll love it. I had it with me in local quilt shops looking for fabric for a quilt. Everyone kept grabbing it out of my hands "what's this?! This looks great!" It happened in a store already full of great books, so that says a lot!

  2. Ack, I can't do the $64 right now for book and shipping:( It does look like a fantastic book, though! I can't wait to see more projects that you make from it.

  7. I take it back! Just went and had a look at that link from Monika. It worked out about $20 cheaper so I bought it (thanks Monika!)! Can't wait to have a good look through. I've been loving the blocks you've been making from it.
