Share...

I finished my goodies for tonight's winter ABCD Blogger meetup. ABCD is a diverse group who share a common interest in creativity and social media. ABCD meetups are held seasonally in both Sydney and Brisbane. Keep an eye on The Red Thread and Bondville for more details.

The theme for the meetup is sharing. Share a recipe. Share a tip. Share something you made. I've decided to share one of my favorite ways to relax with a little english paper piecing kit. I whipped out a few hundred hexies with my Sizzix and shared some gorgeous Summersville fabric to go with it. l bundled it up in basic brown bags decked them out with quirky stickers.

I'm quite excited about the theme. We're doing speed-dating rounds where we share a bit about ourselves and our blogs. My circle will be talking about why we blog.

And speaking of the blog... I have a huge milestone coming up at Badskirt. I turned on blog tracking somewhere along the way while I was writing blog posts. This morning, I cross the 950,000 pageview mark. I'm well on my way to one million counted pageviews. One million! I can hardly believe how far my little blog has come since the early days of showing my friend, Cindy, a very bad skirt. I am so thankful to all of the readers who have popped by on the way to one million. I feel like we should do something big to celebrate. I'm putting my thinking cap on. What would you do at the one million bridge?!

  1. WOW! Congratulations!!! I'd say a retrospective post and maybe a giveaway? :)

  2. Great idea for the swap items.

I agree with Heidi, a bit of a step back through your blog, maybe going through some of your favourite posts. You could get people to tell you in the comments which posts they liked best to go in the draw. You could maybe give away little paper-piecing kits as prizes?

  4. Ooh, so cute!

I think Carmel and Heidi are on to something. I'd love to see some of your favorite posts and/or things you've made as a retrospective, maybe some thoughts on your journey and progress? And congrats on the up-and-coming milestone!
