You know those days that you need a happy distraction? Those days where you wake up at an ungodly hour doubled over at the stomach. It was one of those nights. I was bobbling about uncomfortably when I noticed an email from my uncle. I've lost my Great Aunt Mary. My cousin Marsha was due to go on the table at any minute for a triple bypass. It was 2am and it was shaping up already to be a bad day.

You get that sometimes. Hopefully it is turning around. Marsha is now out of surgery and the postman has arrived.

I'm hoping this little pattern will turn things around. I saw it recommended for a Wednesday Addams costume. As it turns out, I won't need the costume. I'm pretty smitten with the dresses though and can see them easily slotting into my weekly rotation. I'll do a test run this week to see how I go with sizing. Wish me luck. Commercial patterns and I aren't always on the best of terms, but this one doesn't look too bad.
