Little things.

The temptation to abandon old projects for new ones looms heavily when you've been on a fabric stashing adventure, doesn't it?

After getting the borders finished onto an older project this morning, I couldn't resist making this little bassinet quilt top using all new-to-me fabrics except the fish. The tumblers were cut with an Accuquilt die which Craig hacked to fit my Sizzix machine. That made this project seriously fast.

There's so much potential in this simple layout. Knocking off a column or two would make a great welcome mat. Extend that a bit and it would be fun as a table runner (not that we own a table yet... we still don't =)

It's small, but it packs a punch.

    1. Hi Kim. This is something that I'd recommend or can write a tutorial for because it is quite dangerous to deal with sharp dies and voids the warranty on your machine and your dies. My husband did mine and I didn't see what tool he used, though I do remember there was a tutorial for it posted about two years ago. It might be worth googling?

  4. Love, love, love it! I totally lack color confidence and would never have thought pink and yellow would create such a charming little quilt. Thanks so much for posting. Love the tumblers as well.
