Granny Stripe Scarf

We were camping this weekend and I got busy with the crochet hook. I have a friend who could use a little warmth in her life, so I worked up a scarf using some of my favorite Rowan Fine Milk Cotton. I made myself one a similar scarf in the same yarns about 5 months ago, and really love the versatility of the light weight cotton. I hope each time she wraps up that it feels a bit like a hug from me.

I winged the pattern this time randomly placing oatmeal stripes like tube socks throughout. I've used both Jan Eaton's Granny Stripe pattern in 200 Crochet Blocks and Purl's Granny Stripe Blanket in the past - Both terrific resources if you'd like to try something similar.
