Fine feathered friends

fine feathered friend.

Feathers

Remember the days when I used to sew things and share them here?! I miss that too. I've been working which is great, but it has definitely cutting into my sewing time. I did find a little time to conjure up this quilt top using Anna Maria Horner's free Feather Bed pattern. What's been keeping you busy?

  1. I do miss your posts Amy. Your work is always inspiring and so perfect - both in sewing skills and in fabric choices. This is really striking - one of the prettiest feather quilts I've seen.

Glad you're finding a little time to blog (it's better than nothing at all).

  5. The dark background really sets off the feathers - so much drama, but the good kind of drama. :-)

  8. Love the quilt. The pink with a dark background and the little stripe used for the shaft and quill = dreamy.

  9. I saw this pop up on Flikr and I knew it must be yours - I always love your colour schemes. I have also started a job this fall, and all of a sudden I never get to sew. Why aren't there more hours in the day?

  13. i'm glad to see a close up of one of these lovely feathers. every square inch of fabric in that block is luscious. it makes me so happy to see a few blog posts by you again. i've given up on reading my blog feeds. it is just too much and it takes away from my own creative energy. but stumbling over here is a delight.
