meet peter parker

A couple of weeks ago, this little guy sweetly stared his way into my heart. Meet Peter Parker, the newest member of my family.

Parker was adopted via NKLA (No Kill LA), an organization that partners with many local rescues with the aim of reducing the number of animals put down each year in greater Los Angeles simply because they have no home.

This sweet little guy was found at a local shelter where he was being held as evidence in trial. When the trial was over, he was released to the care of Henry's Hope Foundation.  He owes his name, and I owe a debt of gratitude to the fosters who took him under their wing until he was ready for adoption.

I'd been planning to adopt a dog for quite some time, but I never expected to find a pooch as special as he is. Welcome to the family, kiddo! I am so lucky to have you.

  2. He is just adorable. Hope you have many happy years ahead. For some bizarre reason seeing he was involved in a trial along with his name made me think the trial was of a cat burglar! Ha ha.

  5. He's so cute! Thank you for saving a life… May the two of you have many, many happy years together. The dog my husband and I adopted 15 1/2 years ago will be 17 in September. He's given us so much love!

  6. I too found your blog looking for hex tutorials..I had started a hex table runner for my son. He made his own table and it is absolutely beautiful and I found hexies to be a fun and great way to use up some of my fabric scrap stash....problem was when I got most of the runner set up I had no idea how to finish it and all the other ways I saw were not appealing until I found your border binding....I love it and am now ready to finish the runner as a housewarming/ Christmas gift this year as they just moved to North Carolina...thanks for sharing your talent for those of us with brain block. :)
