more ice cream.

I made another Oliver + S Ice Cream Dress. This time Kokka Retro Sakura and American Jane.

I don't normally do soft, sweet and pink. And I originally set out yesterday to try a new pattern or at least a new view. When I laid these fabrics next to each other, I knew this had to be made. Please look past the giant wrinkle on the back. It's in need of an iron and not a gather gone wrong.

This dress will be another market sample to promote fabric and pattern sales. I've bought a few Oliver+S boutique sewist licenses though, so I might make it available. I'm a take confused on pricing for little girl dresses though, and would love any hints for this sort of holiday dress, public comments or private email welcome.

I'm still planning for a sew-along as there was plenty of interest. I'd love a cohost as I think I might be doing a few steps non-conventionally.

Edit: Kate of One Flew Over will be cohosting the Ice Cream Social Dress sew-a-long! Ifyou don't already have one, make sure to get your patterns ordered. I put them on sale for you.

  5. Wow cute dress!! It's funny seeing a craft blogger making childrens clothes that aren't for their own kids. I hope that doesn't sound rude. I mean funny in a good way. It's just I'm used to seeing bloggers inspired by their kids to make cute clothes or even make clothes for their blythe dolls. You must have some wonderful inspiration around that motivates you to make such cute dresses!!
