Puppet Show Tunic

One of the main reasons that I started stocking Oliver+S patterns is that I wanted to make the Puppet Show Tunic in a tiny size. This pattern has been discontinued sadly, but I was lucky enough to get some for myself and the shop.

These photos are only blog ready because I haven't added the buttons and buttonholes on the back. That's why one side looks to hang lopsided. I'll admit that this pattern was a bit trickier than the Ice Cream Social dresses, but the results were gorgeous and the work was worth it.

I changed the directions for the bottom hem because I wanted my elephants to march instead of being on the bias. I was also fabric limited, so I chose to use a coordinating Kei honeycomb for the lining.

Buttery. Sweet. It almost makes me clucky.

  2. I love this pattern but because it only goes up to size 5 I haven't bought it. Your version is just so sweet. I will be joining you on the icecream dress-along though!

  3. Oh my, that is beautiful. I love your fabric choices.

It's enough to make me clucky too, which is pretty impressive given that the thought of another baby usually makes me want to vomit.

  4. I think the lining is a nice offset. It might be too much if it was the elephants or the tiny stripes!
