Hop Skip Jump

Are you in for the Jumprope Sewalong? We've got a flickr group all set up for you. We've lined up two excellent sewists, Jeanne of Nightknitter and Amanda of Sasikirana, to help us out with building your tailor's toolkit full of tips and techniques. This time around, the majority of the blog posts will be at Sew, Mama, Sew in order to keep all three contributors' input housed in one easy to access place.

Of course, the flickr group is there for you to ask questions and show off your photos. There are giveaway prizes too! The newest of Oliver+S patterns are going to be up for grabs and City Weekend fabrics thanks to Oliver+S and Sew,Mama,Sew.

Best of all, the Jump Rope pattern is on sale and available in both sizes, 6m-3T or 4-8.

No need to be nervous. The trickiest part are the buttonholes, but you could replace these with snaps. Or you could leave the neck line open! You can do this, I promise! If you're sitting on the fence, why not hop on down and join us. It's a great pattern.

  3. The buttonholes were the only thing left for me to do with my first jump rope dress. I was filled with trepidation after reading your post. Did I not spent 3(!) hours yesterday to make 2 buttonholes because the automatic buttonholemaker was having a mind of its own. Now I still only have one buttonhole...

    Bring on the sew-along!
