feeling saucy.
This will be among the most useless blog posts that you read all week. The eye candy isn't really worth it either. Yet, I'm still compelled to tell you that I failed Mr Badskirt. Failed him horribly as a wife and a friend.
I went to Tokyo last week without him. He was emotionally and financially supportive of the trip. He had only one request. Please bring me a vertical stacking lunch box from Japan. One that doesn't leak sauce.
In the land of nine million lunch boxes, I knew it would be an easy request. I even got the Mr to search for pictures to show me exactly what he wanted. All I had to do was go to Tokyo and buy it. An easy task, but I let my head and logic get in the way...
Upon inspection at the store, I realized his choice felt a bit wee. There was no conceivable way that his pick of lunchboxes was going to satiate his bloke-sized appetite. Each rack could hold a nigiri or two, but not much more. My reasoning was simple. If I bought him this lunchbox, he would surely starve.
I made an executive decision that he didn't need a new lunchbox...
Instead, I invested in a year's supply of sauce bottles.
His displeasure was obvious.
Sounds like you are in for a spanking then!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you will need to make another trip to get him his lunchbox (oh and more fabric of course!)
ReplyDeleteWas it the pink bunny that pushed him over the edge? LOL
ReplyDeleteawww, your new sauce bottles are adorable. maybe you can find him something online. perhaps a large men's size bento box?

Can I help?

I don't know the specifics of Mr. Badskirt's appetite, but usually the bento sets that come in an oblong insolated zipper bag (consisting of 3 medium containers) do for a guy. Not as stylish as a stacking one, but definitely sauce spill proof. You can get them at home stores or department stores like SATY, Jusco, AEON. They are you regular not-high end department stores, not the upscale ones like you see in big cities. I tried to find a pic but couldn't find one! I know my friend had wanted to buy one for her American boyfriend. Next time maybe!
ReplyDeletePoor Mr Badskirt! I do the same thing all the time...
