seeing new fabrics in person
A few people have asked if it's possible to see the new Japanese fabrics in person. I'll be at Mathilda's Market in Paddington on Saturday October 30th. I won't be able to bring every bolt, but I'll have many of the new gems as well as precut packs and even some scrap bundles!
It's my first time at Paddington, but if Mathilda's at Lane Cove can be used as a benchmark it's a terrific whirlwind experience. Nice wide aisles for prams, lots of variety for both boys and girls, fabrics, sewing kits and cupcakes.
I will have old classics and new favourites! I might even have some Japanese yarn as I most certainly bought more than my share this trip.
Can you poke me if you list any yarn in your shop? I would love to play with some but can't get to the markets :(
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived in Australia - or that it was a two hour drive with a Starbucks along the way . . . and that the Starbucks was in Japan and they had a quilt shop in the store that sold all the fabrics I loved and yarn too and they had really pretty and tasty cupcakes that they gave away for free and . . . Oh, well! Greetings from Indiana (the blob in the middle of the United States.) Sure looks like you're having fun - thanks for taking us along with your lovely pictures and stories. Have a tub of coffee for me!
