puchi means petitie.

This weekend was the antithesis of productive. I got lost in a world of miniatures. I've been admiring little worlds put together by wonderful people.

There is pubdolls's designer rooms:

and Evangelione's Handmade Atelier (link thanks to Katia!)

And the whole world of Re-ment, Megahouse and miniature toys. Puchi love. Like these display cases by Melissa aka Super*Junk.

I literally got lost in her flickr stream for hours. Then a year's worth of Smith's prop budget was spent in a single weekend. Needless to say, she won't be getting a friend any time soon.

So despite having Mathilda's Market coming up this Sunday in Lane Cove, I've decided the best use of my time is to drool over miniatures and periodically mop up my keyboard. I've lost hours gazing and now feel a bit of idea overload paralysis. What about you, do you have a favourite dollhouse or miniature display? Maybe a clever idea for little props?

I'm looking for 1/6 scale, but any ideas are great!

  2. Oh so very very cute! I always had a 'thing' for dollhouses and these are like grown up versions - love them! (I had an old National Geographic which had a feature story on Queen Mary's dollhouse - I would spend hours poring over the pics! Too scared to click your links, Amy, or I'll be lost for days!!)

  3. I am now blaming you for my COMPLETE lack of concentration at work!! All I want to do is drive to my folks place and get out my box of dolls house furniture!! I had retro beds and lounges, mini working lamps, TV’s and little kitchen sets. Plus a heap of Sylvanian Families furniture too. And I just remembered I have my Autny’s 1960’s barbies in that box too!
