Smith's flapper outfit

Smith has a dance recital coming up. She's learned a little charleston inspired dance number to the tune of Five foot two, eyes of blue.

She requested a full flapper get-up, replete with sequined headband and feathers. She said that a set of long pearls were a must. To get her started, I made her a little flapper dress. The accessories will come later.

It was a fairly straight forward dress shape so I worked sans pattern. I used Moda crossweave cotton, peach trim for the straps and something I found at Lincraft called shimmer trim. I stumbled on it while hunting for more tiny lace, and I decided then and there to make a blythe-sized flapper dress this week. I've impressed myself by having it come together and fit properly on the first go.

Not a bad dress for a pint-sized dancer?
