Modern Blythe Swap

Modern Blythe Swap - Inspiration

It shouldn't surprise me when my world's collide, but it often does. I'm tempted to draw a Venn diagram to illustrate my point, but that may be overkill. There's quite a few gals who like modern craft AND collect Blythe dolls and miniatures. The numbers are swelling. There are too many to count... There's like 20 of us! Maybe more.

We belong to a small, non-exclusive flickr group called Modern Blythe Lovers. The group is really small which makes it the perfect place for beginners to ask questions and help each other out without getting lost on a gigantic forum. Maybe you are one of those people who falls into our little intersection on the non-existent Venn diagram? You are welcome to join us.

This month we are having our first ever swap which I am co-hosting with sixtwentyseventh. Yay! The mosaic today is inspiration for my future partner. Maybe it could be you?! Or maybe I'll draw your name and I might make you a teeny tiny quilt for your dolls. Wouldn't that be something? If you'd like to join us, see the official signup thread for more information. We'd really like to have you.

  1. That sound like so much fun! I hope Smith gets lots of nice presents. I just helped my 8th grade son complete the mother of all venn diagrams (Judaism, Christianity and Islam!) God, that was epic. And for public school, rather edgy, I thought.

  3. Amy, I had never even heard of Blythe until I started seeing her on your blog. I don't even own one and yet i am wasting so much time looking at flickr and ebay. I am even crocheting and sewing for this blythe I don't even own yet! I would love to join your flickr group, is it alright to be a wannabe Blythe owner?

Oh and can you help me. I am sewing the 'all spruced up' dress, but am not sure how to attach the collar and the cuffs. Have you any help you can offer.

    Thanks, Simone
