Spicing Up the Kitchen Received!

I've been in a creative funk lately. I'm not in a general funk, I'm really happy with my new apartment, my job and my husband. I'm just in some sort of blue place creatively and haven't found the will to sew yet. Maybe it's the pile of unsorted fabrics haunting me. Our hurried move means my sewing room looks a bit like a wind blew through. Maybe I've taken on too much and I'm feeling daunted by the number of UFOs that I have? Who knows. I hope to pop out of it soon!

In the meantime, I thought I'd show you what I received in the Spicing Up the Kitchen Swap. Amanda (Sasikirana) make me this gorgeous apron and matching potholder from Ruby Star Rising. Yay! There were also little notecard goodies too.

I really like the yellow solid that she chose for binding and the apron tails. Super spicy. Thank you, Amanda!

  1. Amy: Take a big deep breath, find a day to yourself, I know easier said than done, and set up your sewing room. Even if it is just a half a day. Once it is set up you will feel much more like creating something. As you settle rooms you will see what you need to make. Don't worry, spring is in the air and I know you will do okay. hang in there.

  2. Lucky Lucky girl! Those RSR goodies are just divine! I suggest you pop on your apron whilst sorting your sewing room and inspiration/creativity is sure to follow!!

  3. Oooo lovely goodies.

I get like that sometimes with my crafting. I have a small space to sew in and clutter piles up quickly with 3 little ones. I find that once I do a good cleaning and organizing the creative juices flow much more.
