I feel a bit like a hit and run blogger this year. We've had more vacation time than expected in 2013 which is a blessing for travel loving kids like us. A rough count shows that between travel and camping, we've spent 35 nights and 41 days away from our apartment this year. As you can imagine, that's put a huge ding in my crafting and blogging time. I need to play a bit of catch-up. Today, I want to show you one of the projects that I worked on earlier this year for my friend, Lisa, of The Red Thread. I've been quietly sitting on my hands waiting for the range to be announced at Quilt Market doing my best not to spill the beans.

I helped out sewing up these patchwork applique cushions from Lisa's designs. They use several of her new prints along with a large panel design that can be used for both softies and applique. How can you resist those sweet turned in toes?
Hello Tokyo! should be available around September/October, and the patterns for these cushions will be available on the Robert Kaufman website. Pop on over to Lisa's blog to see more prints and inspiration for the range.
What a cute fabric line - the pillows are lovely
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric! I do hope it's released somewhere in the UK. The increase in US shipping charges has made it much harder to buy fabric from there :-( Love those cushions x
ReplyDeleteHi Tracy - Robert Kaufman is the same company that manufactures Kona solids. You could ask around at local shops who carry Kona to see if they can stock the range. Hopefully they will for you!
DeleteThanks for the post Amy! As always it's lovely working with you... thanks for stepping in and saving me!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric actually landed in Australia today (much earlier than expected), and all going well it will be available in stores here in a few weeks. It won't be released in the US until Sept/Oct though. I *may* have fat quarter and half yard packs available online late next week. If anyone is interested they can keep an eye out on my blog and/or Facebook.
oh fun! what a great fabric line. Something different from the norm! :) love love the colors
ReplyDeleteI just saw this at Quilt Market and totally flipped over it! I can't wait to see it in person and will definitely own many yards! I love that they also let her design buttons and notions.
ReplyDeleteSwoon!!!
