vintage birthday treats

I recently had a birthday that came along with new treats from eBay and our local vintage market.
Dymo M-4
...a classic Dymo label maker. It comes with memories of Saturdays at my grandma's house. Grandma June had two Dymos. She let me play with both and waste tape like there were no cares in the world. The M-4 Australian model takes the skinny 1/4inch label tape, so my eyes will be peeled as the roll it's come with is nearly empty and my newer Dymo uses the larger tape. I'm not sure how many Dymo machines a person needs, but I'd like to have them all.
flea market finds.

Canisters too! Birthdays don't get much better than this. I was surprised to find this pair in wonderful nick well below market value. Mr Badskirt saw me look at them and had his wallet out even before I asked.

I thought forty-one would be uneventful. It turned out to be one of my best birthdays yet.

  1. My heart stopped when I saw that first pic. I, too had a Dymo labeler, mine was a gold color. When I was about 13 my mom finally relented and bought me one. My also used the 1/4" tape. I still have things from my childhood that are properly "labeled" with my name.

Growing up, my parents had a similar Tea, Coffee, flour and sugar canisters. Wish I still had them.
