While my quilt block celebrates victory in my native country, I also want to take a moment to reflect on the situation in Australia. I don't think we can fully celebrate until #lovewins everywhere.

Totally agree with you. I recently heard about a British guy who was tragically killed on his honemoon in Oz this Christmas. His partner had no say in what happened to his body. His father had to travel over to make arrangements. I had no idea that Australia didn't recognise same sex marriages. Apparently your Prime minister apologised!! Maybe something will happen now. Sad that it had to take a death to make someone realise.
